Have you ever wondered what 'I' on the iPhone means?

Have you ever wondered what 'I' on the iPhone means?

Have you ever wondered why other companies' mobiles are called phones but Apple's mobiles are called iPhones? Not only that, every Apple product is preceded by the letter 'I'.

Like iMac, iPad, iPod, iCloud, iOS. In the last three decades, Apple has initially named about 23 of its products with 'I'. After all, what is the full form of this 'I'?

Today we are going to tell you about the 'I' of the iPhone. Apple Corps is an ecosystem company. Each of its products is interconnected.

The company's smartphone has also been dubbed the iPhone, in line with the purpose of the ecosystem.

All products with 'i' in front of the name start with Apple's iMac laptop. IMac went public in 1998. Which could easily be connected to the Internet.

Apple's new laptop features the name 'I' in front of the 'Mac' to reflect this feature. This is why the short form of the internet is 'I'. Which Apple promoted as a lowercase English letter.

Thus, the full form of Apple's computer, 'Macintosh' and 'Internet', the first word of the English name 'I' was combined with the name iMac. This may seem like a normal thing nowadays as internet access is very easy.

But in the 1998's it was a big deal to go public with easy access to the Internet in the computer market. But I don't just represent the Internet. It also represents other words.

When the iMac went public at the time, the letter "i" represented other things, said Steve Jobs, the company's founder.

It includes 'I' as well as 'Individual' i.e. 'Individual', 'Instruct', 'Inform' and 'Inspire' along with the Internet. After Apple added the name iMac to the Internet, the same name was added to other products.

Therefore, in the case of other products, "I" can be used not only on the Internet but also in every word that the user wants so that they can feel their right to own the product, he said. In this way, 'I' is attached to every Apple product today.

Don't get me wrong, mobile and internet are not the same.

At present, 'FiveG' is very popular in the field of telecommunication and internet services in Nepal. On the one hand, mobile service providers like Nepal Telecom and Ncell are preparing for the 'FiveG' test.

Internet service providers, on the other hand, are marketing routers as a new technology called 'FiveG'. Kathmandu. The market is now five.

Mobile technology 'FiveG' on the one hand, and Internet service provider 'FiveG' on the other. At first glance, it may seem that both 'FiveG' are the same technology.

Moreover, the recent marketing of FiveG by internet service providers has created more dilemmas among the users. So what is the real FiveG? Are these two technologies the same or completely different? If so, how appropriate is it to spread the word?

Vinay Bohora, president of Internet Service Providers Association Nepal (ISPAN) Vinet, says that both the technologies are known as 'FiveG' in the world market. With this understanding, the internet service providers of Nepal have also used the same.

"It simply came to our notice then. However, it is not wrong, 'he says.'

Wi-Fi technology is also known as 'FiveG'. There is no room for complacency in the way internet service providers are promoting, 'he says.

Although the two technologies are known as 'FiveG', technically these two are completely different. 'FiveG' is a sophisticated and latest version of mobile technology offered by telecom and mobile service providers.

Moreover, this is a new revolution in mobile technology. Which has brought a new dimension to the mobile internet. In terms of both speed and latency, this technology is much more effective than previous mobile technology.

On the other hand, the 'FiveG' provided by the internet service provider is also a new dimension compared to the old one in terms of speed and latency. The 5.2 GHz frequency is much more effective than the 2.4 GHz frequency previously used for Wi-Fi.

In this way, both technologies can be considered as the latest and most advanced technology. But, in reality, there is a big difference between the two. In the beginning, there is a big difference in its name. In fact, the naming of the two technologies is different.

Mobile technology is the fifth generation (5th generation) technology, abbreviated to 5G. Similarly, the Wi-Fi technology running in the five GHz frequency band has been abbreviated to Five GHz (5Giz) for convenience.

The technology of mobile service has reached 5G through 2G, 3G, and 4G. Which provides hundreds of times more speed than Forge.

This low-latency mobile network has been hailed as a major achievement to date. Today, FiveG mobile network has come into use in many countries of the world.

While it is being tested in some countries, Nepal Telecom has also started preparations for the FiveG test in Nepal. But internet service providers are expanding and marketing the new technology of 'FiveG' Wi-Fi on a large scale.

But Wi-Fi's FiveG is not the fifth generation. Before that, you used to run Wi-Fi in our house at 2.4 GHz frequency.

However, a large number of Nepali Internet users are still using the same router. 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi provides long coverage but slows down.

On the other hand, 5.2 GHz Wi-Fi gives more speed but less coverage. This feature of the Wi-Fi router makes another difference between the 2.4 GHz router and 5.2 GHz.

If you have a 2.4 GHz router in your neighborhood, the Wi-Fi in a home can reach up to four or five homes (especially in urban areas). On top of that, there is talk of having multiple routers in the same house.

In this case, one Wi-Fi router interrupts the signal of the other Wi-Fi router. This will cause more problems with the Wi-Fi of the 2.4 GHz router.

Dual-band routers are now popular in the market, including both 2.4 GHz for long coverage and 5.2 GHz for good speed over short distances. But Internet service providers are marketing FiveG as branding.

Thus, Internet service providers prefer to use FiveG routers instead of dual-band routers. Which further confuses the user.

Gmail's new feature comes with Google Drive, now easy to find files and folders

Google is constantly bringing new features to its workspace, including Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Docs. The company rolled out search chips for Gmail in 2020, which made it easier to filter search results based on attachments, senders, and other data.

According to Google's new blog post, the company is now adding a similar feature to Google Drive. "In November 2021, we announced the launch of 'Search Chips' for Google Drive," Google wrote in its Workspace Update blog.

This will help the user to find the relevant file faster and eliminate the hassle of searching multiple times. Search chips are now generally available to all users.

As in Gmail, when you search on Google Drive, new buttons and drop-down menus (collectively called chips) appear. These 'chips' allow you to instantly filter by location, file type, text meaning, last modified date, and other data.

According to Google, this time around, there will be some new improvements from the time Beta was unveiled last year. Spelling suggestions (suggestions for spelling) can be seen with search chips. It also has a new date option called 'Last Modified'.

The new feature is being rolled out to Google Drive users around the world. This includes both personal Gmail account and workspace account users. However, this feature is currently only available on the web app. In Google Drive's Android and iOS app, you will need to pay attention to the old search feature.
