Issuing a notice, the embassy has warned that those who do not provide accurate or concealed social media information in their visa applications may be denied their visas and may be ineligible for future visas. The embassy has clarified that this rule has been implemented to ensure national security. “Failing to provide social media information in your application may result in your visa being denied and may also make you ineligible for future US visas,” the notice said.
