Google Messages gets 'Trash' folder, now you can recover accidentally deleted messages for up to 30 days Google has rolled out the 'Trash' folder feature in Google Messages for Android users. This important feature has been added as a 'safety net' to protect users from accidentally deleting important conversations. Earlier, when you deleted any conversation in Google Messages, those messages would be immediately and permanently removed from the phone. This made it impossible for users to recover important information or messages that were accidentally deleted. Many users had previously used the ' Archive ' feature to keep messages safe. But now another layer of security has been added for deleted messages as well. According to the new update, when a user deletes a message or chat thread, Google Messages will keep that message in the Trash folder for 30 days.
