Oppo's cheap phone A17 is coming to the Nepali market


Oppo is going to launch the 'A17K' smartphone in the Nepali market soon. Oppo's cheap phone, which was released in the global market on October 13, is going to be released in Nepal soon. The A17K smartphone that Oppo is about to launch in the Nepali market has a 6.56-inch display.


Based on ColorOS (Color Operating System) 12.1, this phone is powered by Android version 12. According to the company, the MediaTek MT6765 Helio G35 chipset is used in the Oppo A17K.



This phone with 3 GB RAM variant has 64 GB internal storage. This phone has a single rear camera of 8 megapixels and a selfie camera of 5 megapixels.


Also, this phone has a fingerprint sensor and has a battery capacity of 5000 mAh. It is expected that this phone, which has a price of 130 euros in the world market, will be available for around 18,000 rupees.


How about Xiaomi 13 series?


Xiaomi has postponed the release date of 13 series smartphones. But the features of these phones continue to be released. Recently, the RAM, camera and other information of this flagship series has been released.


Under this, Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro will be available in 8/128 GB, 8/256 GB, 12/256 GB and 12/512 GB storage variants. The entry level i.e. cheaper models will be available in 128GB storage variant with 8GB RAM.



Also, all these phones will be available in four colors.


It is said that the main camera of Sony IMX800 of 54 megapixels will be available in Xiaomi 13. Similarly, it has a 12-megapixel ultrawide and a 10-megapixel telephoto sensor.


It will have a 4500 mAh battery, a 67-watt wired charger and a 50-watt wireless charger. Similarly, Xiaomi 13 Pro also has a 50-megapixel main camera with a 50-megapixel ultrawide sensor and a 50-megapixel telephoto sensor.

Android 13 will be available on these Nokia phones

According to the company, Android 13 update will be available on Nokia X10, Nokia XR20, Nokia X20, Nokia G50 and Nokia G11 Plus.

Within 4 months, 1.5 million smartwatches worth 190 million entered Nepal


As the business of smartwatches has increased in the global market, its import has also increased in Nepal. According to a recent report issued by Counterpoint, an organization that conducts various studies in the field of technology, compared to the first quarter of 2022, the business of smartwatches in the world market has increased by 30 percent in the third quarter.


As the demand for smartwatches is increasing all over the world, different brands of smartwatches are entering the Nepali market as well. In the first four months of the current financial year 2079/80, smartwatches worth more than 19 million have been imported from various countries.



According to the data of the Customs Department, from July to the end of October, 121 thousand 624 smartwatches worth 196 million rupees have been imported into Nepal from different countries.


In Nepal, most smartwatches are imported from China. In the first four months of the financial year, Nepal has imported 146 thousand 25 smartwatches from China worth 1372 million three thousand rupees. India is on the second place in the country where smartwatches are imported.



During this period, 16 thousand 550 smartwatches worth Rs 4 crore 69 lakh 51 thousand have been imported from India in Nepal. Apart from these two countries, smartwatches have been introduced in Nepal from Australia, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, Philippines, Portugal, Qatar, UAE, America and Vietnam during this period.


In Counterpoint's report, it is mentioned that India is at the top of the list of countries with the highest number of smartwatch transactions with an annual growth of 171 percent.


Counterpoint has studied two types of smartwatches. The first normal smartwatch, which is very light and doesn't have many features. Another smartwatch, which runs on different operating systems and which is expensive and has many features.


Similarly, Apple's smartwatch is at the top with more than 50 percent market share.


The list of expensive smartwatches includes Apple, Samsung, Amazfit and Huawei among other brands. Recently, the report mentions that there has been some decrease in the sales of Samsung's smartwatches due to Samsung not getting the Indian market for its products.


Similarly, for general smartwatches, 'Noise' brand has 25 percent market share, while Fire-Bolt has 24 percent, Bot 16 percent, Xiaomi has 4.2 percent and Huawei has 3.2 percent market share.
