Messaging platform WhatsApp has recently released a new feature. The company has added a new feature to edit the message that has already been sent to the user.


Now the user can edit as many times as many times within 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, the message cannot be edited.



But the user who receives the message will know that you have edited the message. In this way edited message is written as 'edited'.


This feature can be used on iOS, Android, desktop and web. Here's how to edit messages on different platforms:


Here's how to edit a WhatsApp message on iOS:


- Open the chat box of the message you want to edit on WhatsApp.


- Long press on the message you want to edit


- A menu will appear, where the 'Edit' option will appear. Click on the edit option.


- After this, your message box will open and after writing or correcting what you want to write, click on the check mark (✓) on the right side of the screen.


Edit a message on Android like this:


You can easily edit messages on Android as well as on iOS. However, the Android icon is somewhat different.


- Open the chatbox of the message you want to edit in WhatsApp


- Long press on the message you want to edit


- Click on the three dots at the top right of the screen


- After this click on edit button


- After this your message box will open and write or correct what you want to write and click on the check mark (✓) on the right side of the screen.


Edit the message on the desktop as follows:


- Open the chatbox of the message you want to edit in WhatsApp


- Move the cursor to the message you want to edit and click on the downward pointing sign (⌄) that appears in the message box.


- After this click on edit option


- After this, your message box will open and after writing or correcting what you want to write, click on the check mark (✓) on the right side of the screen or press enter.


  If this feature is not available on your device then there is no need to worry. WhatsApp is gradually providing this feature on all devices. It may be available faster on some devices or slower on some devices. However, the WhatsApp app on your mobile should be updated.
