Jeffrey Epstein case: YouTube-like ‘JeffTube’ launched, contains videos of Epstein’s crimes
A new platform for those interested in the secret files of the Jeffrey Epstein case has been launched. A developer has launched a YouTube-like ‘JeffTube’, which includes only surveillance footage and videos from the Epstein investigation released by the US Department of Justice (DOJ).
Matthews, a full-stack developer working at Midjourney, announced the project on February 6. Millions of people have responded to ‘jefftube.net’ since it went live, and his post on X has so far received more than 1.4 million views.
The website looks exactly like the official YouTube. It allows users to watch videos, comment, like, and even scroll through hours of prison footage in a ‘shorts’ feed.
The platform currently has 1,083 videos organized into playlists. These include a ‘person cam’ showing Ghislaine Maxwell’s cell (over 64 hours), a 37-hour ‘cell cam’, an ‘elevator cam’ with 173 videos spanning 173 hours, and a 29-hour ‘lobby cam’. Most of these videos are from the Metropolitan Correctional Center, where Epstein died in August 2019.
Meanwhile, Jmail.world, a platform that has integrated Epstein’s work into its platform, has also included JeffTube. Visiting Jmail.world/jefftube opens a YouTube clone.
Various Epstein-themed app clones have been created to make the vast documents released by the US Department of Justice easier to understand and view for the general public. The apps, which were released last December, include ‘Jmail’ (a Gmail clone), ‘JPhotos’, ‘JDrive’ and ‘Jamazon’, which allows you to read Epstein’s emails.
Just days before the addition of JFTube, the Gmail team launched ‘Jkipedia’, a Wikipedia-style resource that aggregates email data into detailed reports. It tracks visits to Epstein’s estate, potential legal violations and who knew what about his activities. The announcement received 8.2 million views in two days. The team later renamed it ‘Jwiki’.
On January 31, 2026, the US Department of Justice released more than 3.5 million pages of the Epstein file. This includes more than 2,000 videos and more than 180,000 photos. Earlier, in December 2025, more than 13,000 files were released. These files include surveillance footage, victim interviews, flight logs, and handwritten notes written during the investigation.
Gmail has seen an increase in traffic of 450 million. After server costs increased due to excessive traffic, Vercel's CEO has taken responsibility for covering the costs himself. Some people tried to financially support Matthews for this project, which is open source on GitHub. However, he immediately rejected it, saying that this was not a work for money.
