Among the free apps available on the iPhone in the United States, WeChat jumped from 1385th place on Friday morning to 100th place by Friday afternoon. This is the first time this year that it has managed to be among the top 500 apps in the App Store.

People in the United States, in particular, rely on WeChat for contact with family and friends in China.

Although it will not be possible to download WeChat and Ticket in the US from Sunday, those who have already downloaded the app on their smartphones will be able to continue using it.
