Mobile technology contributes  4.1 trillion to the global economy

The contribution of mobile technology to the global economy has been found to be around five percent. According to a recent report released by GSMA, a study on the mobile industry, The Mobile Economy 2020, mobile technology and related services accounted for 4.7 percent of the global economy in 2019.

In recent years, the mobile industry has become the backbone of the global economy. The sector, which continues to contribute heavily to the global economy, contributed 4.1 trillion in 2019 alone.

Which is 4.7 percent of the total economy. The study estimates that the contribution of the mobile sector to the global economy will reach 4.9 percent by 2024.

By then, the contribution of the mobile industry and services is projected to reach  5 trillion. According to the study, FiveG technology will contribute  2.2 trillion from 2024 to 2034.
