Do this to prevent your Facebook from being hacked.

Facebook accounts have been hacked and data leaks have been heard by various users. Nowadays, there are very few people who do not use Facebook, the largest social network.

It is not easy to stay away from Facebook for fear of data leaks. If you take some precautions, you can avoid the risk of your Facebook data being leaked or hacked. Today we are giving you tips on how to keep your Facebook account secure.

Protect your password

Most users keep their passwords intuitive for fear of forgetting them. From time to time, cybersecurity experts have been warning about passwords that can be easily guessed.

So always keep a long password. Strengthen your password by adding lowercase letters, uppercase letters, special characters, numbers, and more. Also, keep different passwords for different accounts. So that Facebook is safe when any other account is hacked.

Check the login device

You can easily find out which devices your Facebook is logged into. To do this, go to Security by going to Settings & Privacy and login to Security & Login.

Now you can see all the details of when and where your Facebook was logged in. You can also get detailed information about the location, IP address, and browser.

This way you can keep track of where your Facebook is logged in and from where you can even log out.

Be aware of the apps associated with the account

If you care, your Facebook is connected to many other apps. For more information, go to Facebook's Settings and Privacy and go to Apps and Websites within the settings.

You will now see the login with the Facebook option at the beginning. If you go inside, you can see the apps that are gaining access to your Facebook data.

If you have any doubts about any of these apps and websites, you can go to Edit and remove them.

Don't give messenger unnecessary permissions

When you install Messenger on your mobile, it asks for other permissions as well as messages on the mobile. You do not have to give this kind of permission.

Don't even add your mobile number. There is no need to panic if this happens by mistake. You can uninstall the Messenger app and reinstall it.

Be careful when using the Login with Facebook feature

If you have noticed, you may have seen the option to log in with Facebook while registering on various websites and apps. So this feature is considered safe.

But you have to take care of which app you are giving permission to. Sometimes some apps even take permission to post on your Facebook wall. Later on, it causes a lot of trouble.

Turn on unrecognized login alerts

The good thing about this feature is that when a new person logs in to your Facebook from another browser or app, a message comes to your mobile immediately. If you have not logged in, you can change your password immediately.

To activate this feature, go to Security & Login within Seti. Now if you scroll a little, you will see the setting up extra security. Click on the Gate Alert About Unregistered login and turn it on.

Use two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication is considered very secure for Facebook login. When you activate this feature, Facebook sends a code to your mobile number when logging in to a new device or browser.

You can log in to Facebook only after entering the correct code on your mobile. What is the benefit of this is that if someone tries to log in to your Facebook with the wrong intention, they will not get access to your Facebook.

To do this, you first need to go to Security & Login within Facebook settings. Now enter the two-factor authentication in it. Now click on Use to Factor Authentication at the beginning.

If you have not already entered your mobile number, you need to add it. Now turn it on. You can also use the authentication app along with the mobile number for this.

In this case, when you log in to Facebook from a new device or browser, you will have the option to use the code that comes as a message or use your mobile device.
