Businesses are becoming more internet-based. Shopping has started online. A Castleless business is gaining priority.




In such a situation, it has become impossible to think of a diary without the internet. Moreover, in the current situation created by Kovid-19, the need for it is increasing.


In the current situation of maintaining social distance, there is an obligation to do office work from home. After Kovid, some offices rely on the Internet.



In such a situation, it is natural for the use of the internet to increase. As a result, the use of the Internet in the global environment is increasing daily.



If we look at the statistics of the last five years, the number of internet users in Nepal has also increased significantly. According to the recent annual report of the Telecommunication Authority of Nepal for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2076/07, the number of Internet subscribers in Nepal till mid-July is 21.83 million.


Which is the result of continuous growth in the last five fiscal years. Till last year, the number of mobile internet subscribers was 16.28 million and fixed internet subscribers were 5.514 million.


According to the NEA, there were 13.684 million broadband subscribers in the fiscal year 2072/07. The number of mobile internet users was 13.4 million 27 thousand 514, while the number of fixed broadband users was 357 thousand 104.



Although the number of internet subscribers has decreased in the fiscal year 2074/07, it has continued to increase in the next two years.




The increase in the number of internet subscribers has also had a positive impact on internet access in Nepal. Internet access in Nepal has increased by about 20 percent in the last five years.


In FY 2072/07, 52.03 percent of the total population of Nepal had access to the Internet. Currently, internet access is increasing significantly. Thus, by mid-July, 72.98 percent of the population has access to the Internet.
